SCHOLARSHIPS Dickinson State University offers various tools to help you benefit financially and educationally as you prepare for a career in your field of study. FIRST YEAR STUDENT PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Requirements (must meet one): HS GPA: 3.25 ACT: 22 SAT: 1100 TOEFL: 71 IELTS: 6.0 Terms: Full Time Enrollment, Degree Seeking, New First Year Student. Renewability: Renewable for up to four years. Eligible students must have earned 24 credits in the academic year with a GPA of 3.0 or higher TRANSFER STUDENT PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Requirements: Total GPA: 3.00 Terms: Full Time Enrollment, Degree Seeking, New Transfer Student 24 credits earned in the academic year with a 3.0 GPA Renewability: Renewable for up to 3 years. Eligible students must have earned 24 credits in the academic year with a GPA of 3.0 or higher THEODORE ROOSEVELT HONORS LEADERSHIP PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIP

Eligible students must have earned a minimum of 12 credits per academic semester with a GPA of 3.25 or higher Students may accept one of the above named scholarships. Combining of these specific scholarship awards is not permitted.


STUDENT OPPORTUNITY AND RESOURCE CENTER Each DSU student comes from a unique situation or community around the world. DSU offers specialized assistance to ensure you get the most out of your experience on our campus. The Student Opportunity and Resource Center provides a wide variety of learning services to support academic excellence. These services include professional academic advising, career development, tutoring, academic support and disability services. The SOAR Center enhances the DSU mission through high quality and accessible programs while promoting excellence in scholarly activities and learning.

TUTORING CENTER The Tutoring Center at Dickinson State provides access to the academic support and resources you need to succeed in your classes. The Tutoring Center employs tutors to assist you in reaching your academic goals. Tutors are trained according to College Reading & Learning Association (CRLA) standards. CRLA is an organization devoted to excellence in tutoring and mentoring at the college level. The Tutoring Center is proud not only to offer excellent academic support services, but also to offer opportunities for students to assist their peers by becoming a tutor. The Tutoring Center at Dickinson State offers flexible hours, competitive pay and training for students who work as peer tutors.

Wherever you are in the process, we offer one-on-one assistance to help you plan and achieve career success. We strongly encourage you to take a proactive role in career exploration through Career Development’s services early in your DSU experience.
