ONCE UPON A TIME FAIRY TALES

By: Jacob Ludwig Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm (known as the brothers Grimm) They wrote many fairy tales such as: -The Frog Prince: 1810, Germany, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. -Sleeping Beauty: 1892, Germany, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. -Rapunzel: 1812, Germany, Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm.

Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm were from Germany, Jacob was the older brother. Jacob was born on January 4TH in 1785 and died on September 20TH in 1863 (73 years old), he was a German story writer. He was also known as the discoverer of the G i ’s la . Wilhel as o o February 24TH 1786 and died on December 16TH of 1859 (aged 73). He was a German author and also the younger of the brothers Grimm.

Moral The o al of the sto is that the hild e ’s ust o e there parent and must never talk to strangers even if they are friendly because they might have bad intentions.

Summary LITTLE RED CAP This story begins with a girl, a wolf, a grandma and a cold. The mother of little red cap send he to the g a d a’s house to take a e of he and bringing her some cake and wine. Later when little red cap was bringing the surprise to her granny and then in her way she found a wolf! The wolf tricked little red cap sa i g he he e as he g a ’s house a d little ed cap did say the wolf. The wolf had arrived first and eat the granny so later he can trick again little red cap. The little ed ap a i ed to he g a ’s a d asked a lot of uestio s u til o e questio the olf a s e ed all the ette to eat ou ith a d i a s allo ed he eat little red cap. But for fortune the huntsman heard the loud scream of little red cap and saw ga ’s doo ope . The olf as sleepi g a d the hu ts a ope ed the olf sto a h and took out little red cap and granny. HONESTLY, LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD WAS ROTTEN This story takes place in the woods with a wolf and a little girl known as Little Red Riding hood. She was taking her granny some food because she was sick and her mom told her to. O he a to he g a ’s ho e she fou d he self ith a olf, the olf t ied to eat hat little ed ap had o he asket so he t i ked he to take the lo gest path to he g a ’s house. When he finally arrived he present himself as little red riding hood through the door … and when he came in, he just needed to eat granny. When little red cap entered to the room the wolf got dressed like granny and he crawled into the bed. Little red started to ask questions about how pretty she was so kin just a sec he had swallowed little red cap and with the food that little red cap was taking granny he had dessert.

PERSPECTIVE The perspective of the story change by some several parts like when the wolf eats little red cap and the granny the huntsman opened the wolfs stomach. In a different perspective of the fractured fairy tale, there is no huntsman that opened the wolf stomach. Another e a ple ight e that o the f a tu ed fai tale little ed ap talks a out he self like o ga hat ig e es I ha e a d i the o igi al op little ed ap is talki g to the olf. The perspective of the story also changes by the personality and the body of little red cap. On the original little red cap is no selfish at all, but in the fractured fairy tale little red cap only talks of how beautiful she is. Another thing is that on the original copy little red cap is no fat at all but on the fractured she is the fates character of the story. Something actually very important of the original is that the wolf is not vegetarian but on the fractured fairy tale he is vegetarian. On the fractured one little red cap brings out cake and butter but on the original little red cap bring cake and wine. So actually the perspective of the authors does changes a lot the different type of stories like there are differences they are similarities.

OPNION Our opinion is that the original story is better because it has more sense than the fractured fairy-tale. In the fractured fairy-tale the wolf eats both, Little Red Cap and her Grandma because he thought the e e ig jui apples, e did ’t like that. We also did ’t like that the olf as egeta ia a d did ’t like eat, that does ’t ake se se. That’s h e liked ette the o igi al sto . We thi k that the sto that is telling the truth is the fractured fairy-tale because it is showing the other side of Little Red Cap and not only the kind little red cap. 

THE ORIGINAL FAIRYTALRE

THIS STORY BEGINS WITH A PRINCESS WHO LOVED TO THROW HER GOLDEN BALL. THIS DEAR PRINCESS DIDN’T HAVE FRIENDS TO CATCH IT SO ONE DAY HER GOLDEN BALL FELL INTO A POND SO A FROG CAME AND WENT FOR THE BALL ; THE FROG NEEDED SOMETHING IN EXCHANGE SO THE PRINCESS TREAT HIM LIKE HER FRIEND SHE NEEDED TO SPENT HER TIME WITH HIM ,EAT WITH Him, SLEEP WITH HIM AND KISS HIM GOOD NIGHT.SO THE PRINCESS KISSED HIM GOOD NIGHT AND THE FROG BECAME A PRINCE. SO THEY PLAYED TOGETHER ALL TIME.

PERSPECTIVE MORAL 1) YOU MUST KEEP A PROMISE , A

THE POINT OF VIEW CHANGES BECAUSE THE

PROMISE IS A PROMISE.

FROG SEES THE STORY FROM HIS POINT OF VIEW

2)SOMETIMES WHAT YOU NEED IS ENOUGH. 3)YOU MUST HAVE WHAT YOU NEED BEFORE YOU START WANTING.

AND THE AUTHOR FROM HIS POINT OF VIEW.THE AUTHOR THINKS IT’S A GOLDEN BALL. THE FROG THINKS IT’S A BASEBALL BALL. IN THE FRACTURED FAIRYTALE THE FROG NEEDS A KISS TO REVAE HIS SPELL .IN THE ORIGINAL HE NEEDED TO STAY 3 DAYS.THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN THE TWO ARE THAT BOTH PRINCESS ARE CRANKY BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T WANT TO KEEP THE PROMISE. ALSO THAT THE FROGS IN BOTH STORIES TAKE THE BALLS. BOTH FROGS BECAME A PRINCE.BOTH PRINCESS BRAKE THE SPELL OF THE FROG.

SUMMARY OF THE FRACTURED

FAIRYTALE

THERE WAS A BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS WHO LOVED TO PLAY WITH HER BASEBALL BALL . BUT ONE DAY THE BALL FELL INTO A POND. THEN A FROG APPEARD AND WENT FOR THE BALL ,BUT IF HE WENT FOR THE BALL HE NEEDED SOMETHING IN EXCHANGE SO THE PRINCESS LET THE FROG STAY 3 DAYS IN THE CASTLE.THE THIRD NIGHT HIS SPELL WOULD BRAKE SO WHEN HE STAYED THREE DAYS THE FROG BECAME A PRINCE.BUT THE PRINCE ALSO LIKED TO PLAY BASEBALL SO THEY BOTH PLAYED BASEBALL HAPPILY EVER AFTER. THE TRUTH

THE REASON WE THINK THE FRACTURED FAIRYTALE IS TELLING THE TRUTH IS BECAUSE THE PRINCE IS TELLING WHAT HAPPEND IN PERSON ,HE SAW EVERYTHING AND WAS THERE. REFERENCES

was born in January 12 1628; he was a French and member of The Academe Françoise and he wrote these following stories:

I. II. III. IV.

Sleeping Beauty in the woods Little Red Riding Hood Blue Beard Puss in Boots

Born in Paris in January 12 1628 and died on May 16 1703, and he was the seventh child. He married Marie Guichon who died on 1678.

The fairytale we are focusing on is CINDERELLA or LITTLE GLASS SLIPPER and it goes like this: Her stepmother and stepsisters treated Cinderella really badly because his dad had married another woman before, who taught and made a promise with Cinderella to be kind and have courage, so when her stepsisters treated her badly she never gave up on the promise she had made with her mother. Moreover, when the ball came for the prince to marry some princess or a duchess, the stepsisters came to Cinderella because she told them if she could go and they told her she could not go dressed like that and having that horrifying hair. When Cinderella was crying, her Fairy Godmother appeared and made a carriage out of a pumpkin, six mice into horses and more. When Cinderella came to the ball, every night she escaped but the last night she left one of her glass slippers on the steps of the palace. The prince fell truly in love with her so he had to find her again. As Cinderella left a clue that is a shoe, the prince went in the entire town looking for the one who fits the shoe. When he came to Ci derella’s house, the stepsisters tried it on. Suddenly, the prince found Cinderella; he asked her to try the shoe to see if it was from her and when she tried it on, it fitted perfectly, she was taken to the palace, and a few days later, he married her and lived happily ever after!

The story we are focusing on is CINDERELLA, this is the summary of its fractured fairytale, and it goes like these as told by the stepmother: All the stepmother wanted was a husband and a mansio to life ith. Therefore, he the step other arried Ci derella’s father, the first step the stepsisters and the stepmother took i to the a sio Ci derella’s dad kissed the good-bye and left. They could not believe it, first her husband left, the house was all dusty, when they started cleaning the house, Cinderella would not stop telling annoying stories, and she finished all the chores so fast with animals help. When a letter arrived to go to a ball for the prince to marry a princess or a duchess but in that instant Cinderella lost her voice, so she had to stay home. In addition, yes, she cried a lot. Suddenly, in the ball, a princess with a wonderful dress came and all the night the prince danced with her and there is no such thing as a Fairy Godmother or mice that turned into horses. Moreover, a few days later, the prince made an announcement. A glass slipper was left in the castle, the prince will go in the entire town to try the shoe and see who fits the shoe, a d he the pri e a e to Ci derella’s mansion and the stepsisters tried, it on it did not fit. In addition, Cinderella whispered can-I-try-it-on. And the shoe fits her and the stepsisters and stepmother lived happily ever after and the prince had no idea what he had got into.

The perspective changes the story because on the original version of Cinderella is a good person and she helps everyone so the people can have success on the things they desire. In addition, Cinderella in the fractured story, is so annoying and does ’t stop telli g a oyi g stories a d is ’t as lo a le as she is on the real, not fractured story. On the stories we think that this story is telling the truth and why:

The original version is the one who is telling the truth because on the fractured version when the stepmother and her darlings get to the house it was all dusty, there were animals all over the house and when they started cleaning the house Cinderella, she would not stop telling her annoying stories and that happened for years. And when Cinderella was taken to the palace, a few days later she married the prince but the prince after marrying her he did not know what he had gotten into.

Little Red Cap MORAL Children must obey their parents and they must never talk to strangers, even a very friendly stranger is capable of having bad intentions.

HOW DOES YOUR STORY?

PERSPECTIVE

CHANGE

It changes the story by making the two principal characters be completely different in the original and fractured fairytales. It makes the wolf explain why he ate both the grandmother and Little Red Cap. In each of the fairytales the principal characters explain why they are not guilty. In the fractured fairytale the wolf said he is not guilty of eating both, the grandmother and Little Red Cap because he thought they were big juicy apples. On the other side, in the original story the wolf ate Little Red Cap and her grandmother because he was a hungry wolf, which we thing it is more realistic. Both of the stories take place in the woods/forest. In the original story they are saved by the huntsman. In the fractured fairy tale none of them are saved. In the original story the wolf is killed by the huntsman. In the fractured fairytale the wolf ends up satisfied by the delicious treat.

FAMOUS BOOKS/POEMS/STORIES BY THE AUTHOR - Cinderella - The princess and the frog - Rapunzel - Snow White - Sleeping Beauty

OPINION We think the most valid version is the Grimm Brothers one because it makes more sense that the wolf eats a human because he is hungry. But in the fractured fairytale he eats Little Red Cap and her grandmother because he thinks they are big juicy apples.

BIOGRAPHY Jacob was born in 1785 and Wilhelm was born 1786. As small children they spend most of their childhood together. They studied school in Kassel Germany, and then they began legal studies at Marburg´s University. . They started publishing books between 1812 and 1830. In 1825, 39year-old Wilhelm a pharmacist’s daughter Henriette Dorothea Wild. Jacob never got married. Wilhelm died due to an infection in 1859 and Jacob in 1863.

SUMMARY OF THE FRACTURED FAIRY TALE

SUMMARY FAIRYTALE

This story happened a long time ago, when the wolf realized he had run out of food, so he was starving. He went to the forest to look for some food, however the wolf was vegetarian, so he wouldn´t eat chipmunks or bunnies. The wolf sniffed cake and butter, he went to investigate. It was Little Red Riding Hood who had the cake and the butter. She was looking like a big red juicy apple with her red cape and that made the wolf hungrier. She was really full of herself because she was showing off how pretty she looked with her cape. Little Red Cap told him that she was going to grandmother´s house, so he proposed a game. The game was for both of them to take a different path to granny´s, so he took the shortest one. Once he got to the house, he got in and ate the grandmother up since she looked like a juicy green apple. Then he crawled into bed using granny´s clothes and waited for Red Riding Hood to arrive. When she arrived he ate her up and then ate the cake and butter as dessert.

This story was a long time ago, it started in little red cap´s house. Her mom told her to take some bread and wine to her weak and sick grandma. When she was at the woods she encountered with a wolf. The wolf asked her where was she going. She answered. Little red cap thought it was a good idea to look for some flowers for her grandma, just like the wolf told her to. She started looking. Meanwhile the wolf arrived to her grandma’s house, ate her up, he putted her clothes on and laid in bed with the covers on. After a while little red cap arrived and laid in bed with "grandma". She was constantly saying how big the parts of grandma’s face were, when she mentioned the mouth, “grandma” said calmly," To eat you better! " The wolf ate her up, the wolf started snoring. A huntsman was passing by and heard the snoring and entered, and surprisingly saw the wolf! He opened the wolf´s belly with some scissors and got little red cap and grandma alive. They all then started putting rocks inside the wolf´s belly, so when the wolf woke up he died due to the pain.

WHO WAS TELLING THE TRUTH?

HOW DOES PERSPECTIVE CHANGE YOUR STORY? In Edna´s point of view, she did not have bad intentions. In the normal version she did, she wanted to kill her. In addition, Edna wanted to cast a good spell to Aurora but she had many mistakes talking, like instead of sleeping, dying. In the normal version, the spell removed by the prince kiss, but in the fractured one Edna did remove it. In both stories, there are good fairies but in the first summary, she put her to sleep and in the second one, she could not remove the spell. In both stories, a prince comes to kiss Aurora but in one Edna breaks it and in the other, the kiss does it. The book says that Edna was a good fairy but I think Edna really did had bad intensions because she had many mistakes. In addition, I think she was angry because they did not invite her to the party and she casted the spell.

Author: The author of many fairytales and also Rumpelstiltskin are the Brothers Grimm. The brothers Grimm were 2 persons named Jacob and Wilhelm. Jacob was born in 1785 and he died in 1862 and Wilhelm was born in 1786 and he died in 1859. They were both born in Hanau, Germany. Just Wilhelm got married and had kids (he had4). They both went to the same university of Marburg Point of view: My point of view is that Rumpelstiltskin is telling the true in booth stories. My partner and I decided that the original is the fake one. We think this because in the fractured fairytale the character is saying what he thinks it is the true and also because Rumpelstiltskin in the fractured and original story he is the primary source.

The brothers Grimm had made lots of stories such as:  The frog king or Iron Henry  Our lad ’s hild  The wolf and the 7 kids

The story according to the authors begins in medieval times with a Miller, his Daughter and a huge lie. The Miller told the king of that age that his Daughter was so talented that she could spin straw into gold. That was not true, but the king then decided to lock her in a room full of straw and decided that if she didn´t turned that straw into gold she should die. She couldn´t so she started crying and a little man named Rumpelstiltskin heard her crying and came into the room and helped her to make the straw into gold for exchange of her necklace and so she agreed. Then the king was impressed so she locked her again in a larger room with bigger amounts of straw and Rumpelstiltskin came again and helped her again for exchange of her beautiful ring and again she agreed. The king was once more impressed so he locked her in a larger room with tons and tons of straw and he said that if she made that straw into gold she would deserve to be the ki g’s wife (the queen). She called again Rumpelstiltskin and asked him for help but know she didn´t had anything for exchange so she told him that she could give her first baby when she was married so he did agree. Rumpelstiltskin helped her and then she became the queen and had a baby. When Rumpelstiltskin knew about the newborn he went into the castle and told the queen to give her baby she refused so she started to cry. Rumpelstiltskin told her that he would give her 3 chances each 3 days to guess his name, she didn´t guessed the first 2 days but one day a knight heard him singing his name and he told the queen. The next day the queen told Rumpelstiltskin his real name (Which was Ru pelstiltski ) A d he as furious a d said” The de il told ou that!” He as so a gr that he stepped to hard in the floor with his right foot that it plunged in and then when he tried to take it off he split his body into two! Well that's the story of a little man named Rumpelstiltskin. \

This is the other side of the story named Frankly, I´d Rather Spin Myself a new Name! This story talks about a man named Rumpelstiltskin which didn´t liked his name at all and he wanted to keep his name in a secret. He was a traveling gold-spinner; he went with lots of houses around the kingdom to spin gold out of straw, so when he passed through the palace the little man heard a girl crying he went and figured out what was happening. He figured that it was a aide r i g e ause if she did ’t She asked for help and Rumpelstinskin helped her sin that straw into gold she would die!!!! Rumpelstiltskin agreed for exchange of her necklace. Then the next day Rumpelstiltskin helped her again but for exchange of her ring and finally the next day Rumpelstiltskin heard her again and he came into the room and saw a humongous pile of straw! The madam asked again for help but she did ’t ha e a thi g of e ha ge a hu o gous pile of straw! The madam told Rumpelstiltskin that if she made it again till night she would marry the king! She asked again for help but she did ’t ha e a thi g of e ha ge so Rumpelstiltskin had an idea she asked the madam to give Rumpelstiltskin her first son and she agreed. Rumpelstiltskin helped her and few years later in the news it said that the queen had a baby. He went with the queen and the queen refused to give her baby. Rumpelstiltskin gave her 3 chances each day to guess his name. the first da she did ’t guessed the se o d either but that night Rumpelstiltskin started to sing his name and the queen heard him knew now his real name!. The next day that the queen told Rumpelstiltskin his name he was so surprised that he stepped so hard in the floor that his foot came in and then trying to take it off the floor his foot tore off! Then he made himself a new golden foot and he putt in his cards his real name (Rumpelstiltskin) and now everyone knew his name.

Once upon a time there was an underwater kingdom and there they lived mermaids. There were 6 sisters. The littlest one was the little mermaid. One day she went up to the surface and found a ship, in there was a beautiful prince. The ship wrecked and the prince fell out. So the little mermaid took the prince to the shore.

About the author In the shore there was a princess she took the prince to her castle. The little mermaid went to the witch house and asked her for legs. by: Nancy Loewen The story of the little mermaid as told by the prince. Hi I love to surf and my friends call me prince. One day I was in my ship party when it wrecked. The next morning, I was in the shore like if nothing had happened, I can only remember that a girl with a long tail saved me. When I saw this girl that could not talk and drew in the sand mermaids, I thought that my friends were playing a joke on me. I made a joke of marring a girl and the suspicious girl was always spying on me. When I announced I was going to marry the girl, at my birthday party I reseved a gift full of jaws in it. When I turned around I saw a head in the sea but then it was just sea foam.

THE END. EDUARDO’s opi io I think that the original version is telling the truth, because Hans Christian Andersen made it. I like it and really recommend. I think it is really interesting how the author uses difficult words. I also like that it really touches your feelings.

THE FRACTURED SUMMARY OF RUMPLESTILTSKIN In this story the famous character Rumpelstiltskin is telling the story. The characters that include this fractured version of the story of Rumpelstiltskin are The Peasants, the young Maiden who became the Queen, The King, Rumpelstiltskin, and the First Born Child of the Queen and The King. This story took place in Medieval Ti es i Ru pelstiltski ’s house, The Village, a d The Royal Castle. The problem of the story is that a young Maiden had to spin straw into gold or she would die. The problem developed because each time Rumpelstiltskin help The Young Maiden owed something to him. At last the Maiden promised her first born child to Rumpelstiltskin, but she never gave it to him. The problem was sol ed e ause the Maide guessed Ru pelstiltski ’s real a e, Rumpelstiltskin lost a leg, and he just enjoyed life and went home even doe he lost a leg.

Truth or false In our opinion the fractured fairytale of Rumpelstiltskin is telling the truth. We say this because poor people (Like the Maiden) stress themselves because of their poorness and are convinced to do anything to be rich. For example, the Maide ’s Dad tried to do the possi le to e less poor or ri her and the King married His Daughter. Some evidence that made me think the Fractured version is the one that is telling the truth is when Rumpelstiltskin was saying that his friend told him al just as his mother did because his real name was too big. I also say that this version is telling the truth is because it is a little bit more realistic than the other version.

Perspective is about points of views. Each person has a different or maybe similar point of view. Going to the point of this, each point of view can change a text. For example, in the fractured version of the famous fairytale Ru pelstiltski Rumpelstiltskin is telling the story. He is telling it by his own perspective. For example, he changes the heroes into villains and villains into heroes, because in the fractured story he is the hero and the Young Maiden is the illai . “o that’s ho perspe ti e a change a story. Our perspective of this story (fractured version of Rumpelstiltskin) is that Rumpelstiltskin should’ e take his re o pe se fro the beginning because now The Maide does ’t a t to gi e it. Our perspective of this story (the original version of Rumpelstiltskin) is that the Miller’s Daughter did a great jo y saving her child from Rumpelstiltskin. The similarities of the 2 version of Rumpelstiltskin are the characters, the setti gs, a d that the Miller’s daughter or the Maiden are always trying to protect their child. The differences of the both versions are the theme GOOD vs EVIL, the problem and the solution.

Moral The moral is that you need to always get the tings at the moment if not is a lie if not so eti es it’s ot true a d you ill e ad like Rumpelstiltskin.

Fractured The fractured story is very different than the original. We will tell you some changing: All started when the BF (bad fairy) was supposed to be other meaning (best fairy), but all changed with just a little error. It was the moon party when me Edna saw that the moon was blinding everyone and Ed a t ied to help she said oo ti e to d op she as supposed to say ti e to stop . By that day Edna was not invited to anything. But when the king had a baby and all the fairies were invited except Edna she thought, the ki g ould ot fo get me, ight . “o she ade the gift. Whe she e t to the astle they did t forget me right so she entered by the window and she gave the gift. The gift was he you die you ti es ill o fo t li es. “he as supposed to say he you y . She made all to repair the spell and she will prick with a spindle and sleep 100 years. 16 years later Aurora found a spindle and she pricked. But years later a prince found Aurora and kissed her so the spell disappear. They married and lived happily ever after. Well I steel the BF ut I like to see the happily. I p epa i g o a gift fo he baby.

Original The original title of Sleeping beauty is as “leepi g eauty i the ood . The story of Sleeping beauty in the wood is: Once upon a time, there was ki g a d uee ho did t ha e thei children, but they wanted their own children. Finally, they got a daughter they named her Aurora. They made a party to find a perfect godmother and order them to give her a gift to make Aurora perfect. When the party started, they gave the 7 fairies a spoon, knife, and fork with pure gold. Then an old fairy came to the party (they wanted more fairies possible so they let her in) and she seated. The king wanted a golden casket for her but it was impossible cause they made 7 casket for 7 fairies. The king ordered to gi e he so ethi g ut it as t golden. So the old fairy was very mad but she lived it in secret. When it was time to give Aurora the gift the old fairy gave her a bad spell. . . the spell was that when Aurora have 16 years old she will prick her hand with a spindle and die. 16 years later Aurora found a woman spinning. Aurora said ay I t y, it looks fu y the o a said yes he Au o a t ied it a d she pricked and fell out, the woman helped but Aurora slept long time. . . If you want to keep reading, buy the book!

Charles Perrault was born on January 12, 1628, in Paris, France. He was author and poet. He wrote many books and the most popular book was Sleeping Beauty in the wood in 1697, Puss in boots in 1697, and the Little red riding hood in 1697. The Puss in boots and the Little red idi g hood e e itte i o e ook Mother goose tales that was for his children. He died on May 16, 1703, in Paris, France.

Leticia I think that the original is a little scary, but it s funny and it have many mysteries but the mystery ends, when the prince and Aurora. Chanwoo I think that the original story is similar to fractured of sleeping beauty,

Hans Chr5istian Andersen was born in Odense, Denmark on April 2, 1805 he had a wife named Anne Marie and a son. He died in Copenhagen on August 4, 1875. He studied in the University of Copenhagen.

Some famous books by Hans Christian Andersen are “The Ugly Duckling”, “The Princess and the Pea” and “The Emperor’s new clothes”.

Imagine you are in the sea. A widowed king sat on his throne in front of you. He has six daughters, but the youngest was the prettiest. When she turned fifteen, she visited the land up above. She saw a prince on a ship and instantly fell in love with him. Suddenly a storm broke out and the prince started to drown. She saved him and left him on the shore. The little mermaid was so in love, she went looking for the sea witch. She went to the sea witches lair and ask her to turn her tail into legs. The sea witch told her she had a potion but every step she took would feel like the cut of a knife. If the prince married someone else, she would have to die. Lastly, the sea witch asked for her voice. The little mermaid accepted to the terms and took the potion. When she stepped on the shore, she fainted in pain. When the little mermaid woke up, she saw the prince looking down at her. She tried to talk but then remembered she couldn’t. When the time came for the prince to marry, he married the neighboring kingdom’s princess. He believed the princess was the one who saved him. The little mermaid felt her heart breaking. As she sat on the shore, waiting for dawn, she saw her sisters com up to her. They gave her a knife and told her to stab the prince in the heart, and then she would be safe. That night, while the prince was sleeping, she went to his room and threw the knife out the window. At last, thinking of the prince she jumped out the window and into the ocean. Finally, to end her hearts misery, she dissolved into foam and died.

Now imagine you are on the beach. You see the prince in front of you and he says he wants to tell you a story. It goes like this, One day when the prince was walking down the beach, he saw a girl lying on the ground and wiggling her toes as if she had never seen them before. He saw her draw pictures of mermaids and thought that maybe it was a joke from his friends. He didn’t know her name so he called her Marlina. He wanted to be sure this wasn’t a trick from his friends so he texted Kim, a friend, and pretended he liked her. Later, he declared he was going to marry Kim. He thought that once he married, his friends would admit Marlina and everything else was a joke. Then he would explain that he wasn’t really getting married. The prince got married and after the wedding dance, he thought he saw Marlina’s face in the waves but when he blinked, all he saw was sea foam.

It changes the little mermaid because the prince said that he didn’t want to marry or anything but the real story says that the prince actually mistook the princess from the little mermaid. Also, while the real story tells me that the prince married the princess from the neighboring kingdom, the prince says that he married a friend.

I think the prince is telling the truth because, first of all, it is extremely weird to find a girl in the middle of the beach, second, because it is very common for your friends to tease you about stuff you see. Lastly because it is also common to want to know if it is a prank and always be alert.

The Princess and the Frog

Suddenly, this story started long time ago in medieval times with a princess who usually used to go to the forest, but one day, she threw her ball, and went into a spring. The frog helped her and he needed to stay at the castle with the princess, because he helped the princess to get back her ball. After three days, the princess woke up, and instead of seeing a frog she saw a beautiful prince standing right beside her. The prince explained her that a witch had put a curse on her, and that only a princess could retrieve it. From that day on, the princess and the prince lived happily ever after.

Morals The moral of the original fairy tale is: Dreams come true, as

long as you keep believing The moral of the fractured fairy tale is: always keep your promises

The frog tells this story like this: Long time ago I turned into a frog, just right when I was going to catch the ball and win the baseball champion ship. After some days I was playing with my friends, and suddenly I saw a princess crying because she had thrown her ball into a well. I told her that I could help her, but she needed to kiss me. I really didn’t want to kiss her, but it was the only way to turn back into a prince. The princess accepted, so I went and toke out the ball. The princess went running, with her ball because she didn’t want to kiss me. The problem was solved when the princess finally kissed me, and I turned back into a prince! We didn’t marry, but the baseball team had a new player

Wilhem Grimm was born on February 24, 1786. When he was young, he went to study to Germany, folklore and oral traditions. He married Dortchen Wild, and had 4 children. He died in December 16, 1856

* Rapunzel * Hansel and Gretel * Little snow white * Rumplestilskin * Sleeping Beauty

Jacob Grimm was born in January 4, 1785. He studied in the same place as his brother did. He didn’t married anyone, and had no children. He died in September 20, 1863. ♌

These 2 perspectives change a lot a story. The author says that it was a golden ball, the frog says it was a baseball ball. The perspective changes a lot the story. In the fractured fairytale The frog needed a kiss. In the original, he needed to stay three days in the princess castle. The frog needs to do everything with her for three days. The fractured fairytale, is very different to the original fairytale. The author sees it in a different way than a character. He was not there when it happened, and the frog that was in the story narrate it in a different way because it all happened to him.

The fractured fairy tale is really telling the truth. It is telling the truth because the frog would not kiss the princess. He would stay at the princess home for 3 days. I think that both could be real, but the one that I think is better, is the original fairytale. The one I think is the funniest is the fractured fairytale
