Parking:

Public parking is available at the Capitol Area Visitors garage at 1201 San Jacinto Blvd, Austin, TX 78701. Street parking is difficult to find near the Capitol, so we encourage parking in the garage. Parking is free for the first 2 hours, $1 for each half hour thereafter, and the maximum daily charge is $12.

It is essential that you measure the dog‛s neck on a cloth tape measure because this is the most reliable way to get your pet‛s measurements. You should always select a collar that is fitted to the dog‛s neck properly. The dog‛s collar should not be too tight to provide the dog with a comfortable fit. Measure the dog‛s neck size first. You should also consider the collar size as well because it will help you determine the collar fit. The more snaps you can get on the collar, the more comfortable the fit will be.

For the proper fit, you will first need to check your dog‛s neck. Once you have checked your dog‛s neck, the collar should be snug enough but not tight. It should not have any buckle part that protrudes and must be large enough to spread in all directions.

The shoulder of the martingale collar should be small enough that it can slip through the dog‛s skin. A number of pet collars have an adjustable length that is adjustable to one inch.

Make sure the collar is not too loose. Once you have the dog‛s neck adjusted, you can put a leash on the dog. The leash will stop the dog from touching its neck, but it should still be able to be tightened slightly. The leash should also not be restrictive.

When you are walking your pup, you should always check the fit of the collar. With the learning curve associated with a training collar, you will most likely end up with a loose collar.
