Putney Heath

Continuing northwards from the Windmill up to the A3 and beyond, the plateau of Putney Heath is characterised by extensive areas of heathland, interspersed with groups of trees. The mounds of Roehampton Hills were formed in the late 60s by spoil from the nearby A3 cutting, an ideal area for sledging when it snows! North of the A3, the Heath is comprised of woodland and a series of open glades, including The Frying Pan, a popular area for picnicking.

Bishops Park

A little slice of greenery in Fulham along the banks of the Thames. A beautiful green space with playgrounds and sports areas, flower beds, a lake and beach for families to enjoy. It is listed Grade II on the register of parks and gardens of special historic interest maintained by English Heritage.

Leader’s Gardens

Leader’s Gardens is a public urban park on the banks of the River Thames in the London Borough of Wandsworth, between Putney and Barnes town centres. Popular riverside park on the well used Putney embankment, busy with walkers, cyclists, and rowers. Café, tennis courts and play areas, shady trees and views across the Thames. The Beverley Brook enters the big river nearby, overlooked by a quiet lawn and sitting out area.

Putney Sculpture Trail encompasses nine sculptures by British sculptor Alan Thornhill which are permanently publicly sited along the south side of the River Thames to either side of Putney Bridge, in the borough of Wandsworth. The sculptor asks you to view the sculptures with an open and enquiring mind, without preconceptions of either form or meaning.
